Kashmiris, snapshots of people facing an uncertain future
When he first visited Kashmir in 2017, Antoni Lallican met his inhabitants and began to sketch the portrait of a people whose image was often obscured by the media weight of a conflict that had destabilised the region for 70 years. A people who try to preserve their identity and dream of self-determination but whose uncertain future remains linked to the conflict between two brothers: India and Pakistan.
When he first visited Kashmir in 2017, Antoni Lallican met his inhabitants and began a reflection on the consequences of the conflict in a people with a cultural composite origin. After a second visit to Indian Kashmir, he presents the result of this reflection in this first personal exhibition.
